Swedish Midsummer

Probably the biggest Swedish midsummer celebration I've been to, and I wasn't even in Sweden. Picnic in Hyde Park with everything one can need for the occasion... Kubb, ringdans, köttbullar, jordgubbstårta, kladdkaka, dillchips and all the other stuff. A little piece of home, away. Just lovely!

Alabama shakes.

Excuse me, but they are brilliant..

Swedish midsummer for dummies.

Pox, I hate you.

Today I'm gonna beat my chickenpox, and enter the outside world.  I just washed my hair for the first time in a week. I'm about to put on make up for the first time in a week. I'm also going to do a clothes change, for the first time in a couple of days. I realise now how gross I've been. My face still looks a bit like a pepperoni pizza but at least it's not contagious anymore, and I just don't care. I will go crazy if I stay inside this apartment one more day!

What does chickens have to do with this anyway?

Moonight Cinema

I love outdoors cinemas. A thing that worked better in Australia, obviously, because of the weather. Over here, you can't really know what's gonna happen. But it doesn't make it less magic. I remember when Josh and I had just met, we went to see "Where wild things are" at the moonlight cinema at centennial park in Sydney. It was dark, there was stars out, and there were bats (or flying foxes as they are over there ) flying over our heads. I don't think I would've liked that movie if I saw it anywhere else , but there, it was brilliant.  There definitely is something about watching a movie under the stars wrapped in a blanket with a good picnic... SO, Londoners, here comes your chance this summer: PopUpScreens , lots of good movies coming up , for example Office space, Anchorman,  Taken, Donnie Darko etc ...
